The Purpose of The Roundtable Knights, Inc. is to bring like-minded business owners and entrepreneurs together for the purpose of helping people develop business strategies, sound infrastructures and obtain business resources especially financial that leads to a healthy, sustainable, successful business model with the common goal of increasing economic development within their local communities in which they provide services and goods.
The Roundtable Knights, Inc.’s mission is to help strengthen youth, adults, and veterans through a collaboration of training, networking, and facilitation within a positive, productive, professional environment. We address community and economic development needs resulting in long-term, meaningful relationships and successful small businesses and non-profit organizations.
The Roundtable Knights, Inc.’s vision is to develop wealth-building, sustainable principles and practices for businesses that will stimulate economic development to the south side of Clayton County, GA and throughout the Metro-Atlanta, GA areas for new, small-mid-sized business owners and entrepreneur including our youth, adults and veterans.

Steve was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, California. After graduating from Crenshaw High School he enlisted in the US Navy.
He served aboard two ships as a Radioman during the Vietnam War Era. The USS Talbot (DEG-4) out of Norfolk, Virginia (73-74) and the USS Berkeley (DDG-15) out of San Diego, California (74-76). Steve’s active duty Naval career started in 1973 and ended in 1976. His naval Reserve time began in 1976 until 1979. Upon his discharge from the Navy he served two years in the US Air Force reserve out of Travis Air Force base in northern California from 1979 until 1981.
Steve worked for the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller at the Oakland Air Traffic Control Center in Fremont, California for three and a half years (1976 through 1979). Steve left the FAA and took a job with Pacific Bell as a Communications Technician utilizing his Radioman skills learned while in the Navy. He relocated to Atlanta in 1987.
This began a long and distinguished career in the field of telecommunications which spanned over thirty years 1979 to 2013). Steve worked for such companies as Pacific Bell, MCI, AT&T. Verizon, Comcast, Weather Bug and the City of Atlanta (SMG Telecom from 1989 to 1996) as either an employee or contractor during that span.
Steve became disabled in 2013 which required him to give up his career in the Telecommunications industry. In 2015 he decided to become an insurance agent with the hope of helping others become more prepared for the pitfalls of life than he was. Steve has a passion for helping people with a spirit of entrepreneurship which inspired him to form the organization called The Roundtable.
Steve married his wife Shelia Edwards-Green in 1996, now having been married for 24 years. Steve’s one and only child (son) from a previous marriage, passed away at age 39 in 2018. Steve’s father is also deceased. Steve has three sisters. His mother and two sisters live in Los Angeles, California and his third sister currently lives in Buffalo, NY.
Steve is currently an active member of the Atlanta Black Chamber of Georgia, the Government Contractors Association and active in several Veteran groups throughout Clayton County. He served as former President of the Tara Road Homeowner’s Association from 2002 to 2005, and returned as President from 2007 until 2009.
As the Vice Chairman of the Roundtable my role is to assist the Chairman as a co-laborer in carrying out the vision, mission and purposes of the Roundtable maintaining its highest level of integrity as we do business. I assist in the recruiting and approval process of membership for the Roundtable. I assist the Chairman in bringing major, successful people in business and government to provide the members with the best possible avenues for business development and business resources to help them grow their business.
As the Treasurer of the Roundtable, I am responsible for maintaining the financial records. I collect the dues from the membership and maintains its records for reporting purposes at the Roundtable Board meetings and in the preparation of financial reporting to the Federal and State Governments. I am responsible for handling fees paid at Roundtable events and assisting the President and Vice President in the decisions that directly affect the financial position of the Organization.
As the Secretary of the Roundtable, I am responsible for preparing meeting agenda and minutes for the Roundtable, as well as preparing the Meet & Greet Recruiting/Networking Sessions conducted by the Roundtable – quarterly. I am responsible for maintaining and distributing information to the Roundtable members via email.
